065 - the power of belief

I've always been a sceptic, and I know you have too. These words in the quote above make it seem so easy. It makes it seem like all you need to do is think and believe in yourself and things will come your way. That's the problem, as it's the first step, not the entirety of the equation

Belief and self-confidence is the foundation for everything you will achieve in your life. If it's not present, you will have no ground to build upon, and you'll never grow or progress - continually spinning your wheels on this plateau, feeling like you're forever in quicksand

And yet, if we can understand this power of belief and use it to take that first step, to take action, then you're further than 99% of the rest of the population and on your way to achieving what you desire to achieve in life

I have been studying an EXOS Presents course on speed when a quote grabbed my attention that made it all click: "speed is an embodied belief before it is an action" - you've got believe you're capable of running fast before you can even begin to try...

Times will get tough, earthquakes, landslides, tsunami's - it'll throw everything your way, believe me on that... and that's where this foundation of belief will be your best friend - as if it's rock solid, you will get past these obstacles and continue to grow and flourish

Such is the power of the mind. Such is the power of belief. It's the first brick you lay for your foundation. So, when are you going to start laying your bricks...

  • Do you believe in yourself? On a scale of 1-10, what's your belief in yourself and your abilities, why?
  • If your belief is low, why? Is it because you've never done "this" before? You've learned to walk, talk, run, do maths... so why not this? And guess what, there are people exactly like you who were worse off who have done it in the past... so why not you? What limitations are you fighting for?
