092 - a mantra to make the rest of 2018 your year, guaranteed

We continually think on the macro level, that is, we view things in their entirety and they seem overwhelming and scare us. We look at that big, hairy, audacious goal and fail to take the first step as we cannot break it down into the macro, daily tasks that will move us toward it

Momentum wins in the end. It's doing the small tasks, taking those tiny steps, day after day that matter more than making huge jumps and leaps - even though the huge jumps and leaps may feed our ego more and make us feel better

It's being process focused instead of outcome focused, and catching ourselves when we slip from this path, like I did this past weekend...

And right now, there's a choice you can make... many people are already writing 2018 off as we're almost a quarter of the way through, but here's what they're not seeing...

There's still 270ish days left this year to grow, develop, and achieve what we aspire to achieve. 270 opportunities to get better and take a step toward becoming who we aspire to become and achieve what we aspire to achieve

And it begins with the mantra "every day, in simply one way, I am getting better and better"

Where are you going? What's the destination on your map? Are you currently on track or do you need to take a small turn (minor tweak in our habits), or do u-turn (complete change in habits) to get you back on track

If you're off track, what habits do you need to change, and what new ones do you need to form to get yourself back on the right road? What's the one thing you can do such that by doing it, all else becomes either easier or unnecessary and moves you closer toward your goal?

Every day, in just one way, aim to get better and better <3
